I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-4232) in Alabama, as well as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC-MC60488913) in Washington state. I provide tailored individual 50 minute sessions for individuals.
I have nearly a decade of mental health experience in community mental health, treatment centers and private practice.
I draw from a variety of perspectives, most commonly utilizing relational psychodynamic therapy, attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, compassion focused therapy and solution focused therapy.
Most importantly, I love the joy of helping another find healing, resolution, empowerment and deep peace in their life. My hope is that through this work together you will be more aware, present and connected to yourself and your life.
I earned my Masters of Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology.
I am engaged in full-time therapeutic work with clients at every stage of recovery from their eating disorders. I am Health at Every Size (HAES) aligned and incorporate Intuitive Eating and Body Trust principles into my work.
I completed an internship with Sound Mental Health in Seattle, WA, working with families and at-risk children and teens. Here I worked with individuals who were experiencing effects of divorce or separation, anxiety, anger, aggression and other behavioral concerns.
I also spent time working at Trinity Lutheran College in Everett, WA, serving young adults. This work focused on college students experiencing depression, anxiety, body issues, family of origin processing, life transitions and vocational direction.
I have served as a Case Manager at Volunteers of America, serving teens and adults with developmental difference. Here I advocated for community integration and job placement while offering individual and group care.
I have worked as a Behavioral Therapist through the state of Washington. Here I specialized in working with children, teens and adults in home and in school. I specialized in addressing behavioral concerns, implementing life skills and assisting in community involvement and integration.
In my private practice, I have worked with individuals addressing issues of anxiety, depression, life transition, relationships, grief and loss.
My combined experience has given me a unique lens to see therapy as a deeply collaborative process that requires connection and integration of the many aspects of your life. My hope and goal is to be supportive and affirming throughout therapy to help you discover and reveal profound places of value, purpose and wholeness.
